Karish data includes Karish North. 8 BCM refers to the shared production system's capacity.
How does the gas reach Egypt and Jordan?
EMG
A direct route from Israel to Egypt through Ashkelon and El Arish.
Northern Jordan (+FAJR)
Gas flows from Israel to Jordan, then to Egypt through the FAJR system. Capacity is expected to rise from 7 to 11 BCM.
Southern Jordan
A route from Israel to industrial customers in southern Jordan near the Dead Sea.
Nitzana
A future direct route from Israel to Egypt. It is expected to add 6 BCM in 2028.
Capacity is not actual exports: Export volumes also depend on field production capacity, Israeli demand, allocations and export permits.
About the data
Gas volumes are shown in BCM, billion cubic metres. Production and capacity figures refer to annual rates. Destination and field reporting use different bases, so small measurement and rounding differences may occur and no forced reconciliation is applied.
The data is based on publications by the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and the Natural Gas Authority, Israel Natural Gas Lines data, relevant government sources and reporting related to fields and infrastructure.
